It appears that our most successful accomplishment is our blood pressure screening program. What we have noticed is that we have come to know our fellow members better, and they have come to trust us and feel freer to discuss their medical problems with us.

Another program that is going well is our home visits. The shut-ins really appreciate them and they benefit both the visited and the visitor. Those who assisted in delivering Christmas cookies surely saw what joy these visits give. The more people who are willing to visit, the easier the effort, and the more people contacted.

We'd like to discuss briefly three different kinds of love. The
first is love of self. Jesus says in Matthew 19:19 - "Love your neighbor as yourself." If we love and respect ourselves, we will take care of our bodies in order to fulfill Christ's directions.
The second kind of love is love of family and friends. Here we receive a responsibility to keep ourselves healthy and strong so we can raise our children and be an example to our
grandchildren and friends.
The third kind of love is the most important...love of the Lord. "Because He first loved us" is reason enough to love the Lord. We can show our love in praise and thanksgiving, in following His precepts, in regular church attendance, and in sharing our love with others who don't know the Lord and His saving grace, or who are unsure how they fit into this picture.
