Prayer Chain

The Prayer Chain Ministry at St. Paul's was begun in
1996.
What is a Prayer Chain? It is a group of people who pray for
the needs of others.
When a prayer request is called in, either to the
pastor or the church office, the first name on each of the chains
is notified of the person making the request, the name of the person who is to be prayed for, and if the information is given, then the reason for the prayer...such as surgery, therapy, tests, safe travel, etc.
As each person on the chain receives the prayer request, he or she then calls the next person on the chain giving all of the above information.
If an answering machine picks up the call, the caller leaves a message about the prayer request and then calls the next name on the chain, etc.
When the people on the chain receive the prayer request, they are to add the name to their respective
prayer list and offer up the requested prayer.
The last person on the chain is to call the church office saying that the chain has been completed.
Anyone in our congregation may join the Prayer Chain
simply by calling the church office, 414.355.5030, and giving their
name. The only requirement is a willingness to pray for someone
who is ill, who is having surgery, someone who needs encouragement in a
troubling situation, or for someone who is celebrating a joyous event.
